The genre isn't as harmful as other as long as the viewer is able to separate fiction and reality. If you think girls in real life would acts like ecchi characters, go fucking outside and start talking to real people.
They should make stories that isn't about two schoolgirls crying 80% of the times how their loves is impossible and their relation stop once they are adults.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica is so boring that I had feel no emotions outside I was bored.
Also I feel Cardcaptor Sakura is better than Sailor Moon but that maybe just because that was the only magical girl show (well maybe two if Powerpuff girls count as one) I watched when I was a kid so I have lot of nostalgia about it.
