Jan. 23rd, 2019 04:21 pmKinda happy Rumiko Takahashi wins 'Grand Prix de la ville d'Angoulême' since she is one of my favorite mangaka thought I am not sure if that will erase all the complain I have about this festival since years (I never go here since that in France, I talk about the attitude, especially about the grand prix).
I wonder how USA comics fandom is going to react they also gives a honour award to Frank Miller.

Comic Book Reviews - Miss Don't Touch Me
Dec. 6th, 2018 01:05 pmI rescently re-read the french series Miss Don't Touch Me (Miss Pas Touche in original French) for the first times in years and I really likes it thought I wouldn't put it in my top favorites. The serie was released in english in two volumes and now it seems vailable in a complete volume.

The plot resume the first half of the story and it is really good. I like the art and the characters are well done (Blanche isn't your typical detective hero, in fact that not her who resolve the mystery). The second half who is basically another cycle isn't bad, but I was less taking by the plot and if the story touch interesting themes like homophobia or classism, I still found the plot was a bit all over the place.
Still this is a much read if you want read an adult french graphic novel. This is a bit dark and you shouldn't expect a big happy ending.
