Utena fanfiction thought

In last weeks, I have Utena nostalgia and go re-read Juri x Shiori fanfiction I really liked and try to found new ones.

I thought about something:

-If the story is from Shiori's pov, the author usually take into account her flaws and that she wants to change.

-If the story show Juri's pov, often Juri is a poor martyr goddess who deserves Shiori as a price.

Funny because I remember years ago on tumblr Shiori fans get accused of making Shiori blameless and blablabla. So far I only sees ONE person who did Shiori-did-nothing-wrong-Juri-is-just-awful while for other characters that happenned very often.

I don't remember reading any of the fics in the latter category, but I remember the old-school shoujo ai community was full of Juri worshippers who blamed Shiori for the whole mess between them.

This makes me even prouder of the Juri-POV fic I wrote where Juri had to realize and come to terms with the fact that Shiori is a human being, and that she needs to get to know and love her as a person instead of the idealized princess she kept seeing her as.
