I saw the Joker movie tonight and I found it an interestig character driven movie. That not for everyone (you need to like dark movie thought I found it tolerable since it has none of the tropes that truely disgust me like, for example, a rape scene). The tone remind me of Taxi Driver and King of Comedy. In fact I recommand to see those two movies before seeing Joker so you can sees the comparaison.

One thing I like about the movie is that since one plot element was all in Arthur's mind, that could mean eveything that happen is a lie so you can keep speculated for years about what really happen or no. Remember Joker in the Batman franchise lied several times about his past and the point in Killing Jokes is that he himself isn't sure what really happened to him before he becomes the Joker. So the movie could be just Joker telling a fake sad story to a therapist.

I am thinking for weeks about Touga when before I barely noticed him for some reasons. I found his backstory that only was included in the movie and I would have like Be-Papa put this in the series too. That could have make an interesting episode on Touga and maybe a part of the fandom would stop seeing him as just an asshole who should be kill or something (I get the feeling several fans are projecting all the jerks boys they know on Touga).

The fact Touga was raped for years by his abusive adoptive father make him different from the other council members. Saionji, Juri, Miki and Nanami do stupid shit, but that mostly immature teen stupid shit while Touga is on another level with his manipulations. That also the fact while Miki-Kozue and Juri-Shiori hurts each other, Touga hurting Saionji and Nanami is more one-sided and that because he get abused for some many years what those two can possibly do that can hurt him at this point? That easily to see why he becomes Akio's lacker. He probably crossed the despair evant horizon years ago and has not hope in him so Akio approach him and told him how the world is shit and the only way Touga would be happy is to get power by manipulated and used people.

I also thought about the parellel between him and Anthy. Both are rape victims and get used a lot by Akio. And also they happen to use the two same persons (Saionji and Nanami) as punching bag. I would have liked see their relationship more developed. For what I remember, Touga never abused Anthy (or at least he never slapped her) and Anthy never trolled him, right? Those two minors facts are interesting in hinslight when you know both are rape victims.

I tried to read The Rising of the Shield Hero manga adaptation. I hated a scene where that look like that okay the hero has a slave so I stopped readed it.

I started reading Beastars and I really loves it. That nice to see shonen like that and The Promised Neverland. I was tired of shonen that just copy Dragon Ball.

Utena movie has good visual but the story is garbage.

I HAVE NO LIFE!

I re-watched the movie for the first time in years and I get a theory: Johnny is the only sane character in the movie. Everyone else acts like they are in a serious drama movie while he is the only one who seems to know he is actually in a comedy and so acts like a comedic character.
